Course Overview

Managing people is at the heart of every growing organisation. This course trains HR officers, business owners, and administrators to use Zoho People, Zoho Recruit, and Zoho Payroll to digitise their entire employee lifecycle — from job posting and recruitment through onboarding, attendance, leave management, performance, and payroll processing.

All exercises are tailored to Ghanaian HR practice — Labour Act compliance, SSNIT contributions, PAYE computation, and local leave entitlements are covered throughout.

Learning Outcomes

Configure a Zoho People organisation: departments, designations, locations, shifts
Manage the complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, profiles, documents, offboarding
Set up leave policies, holiday calendars, and attendance tracking (biometric/manual)
Configure and run a payroll: earnings, deductions, SSNIT, PAYE, net pay computation
Post jobs, manage applications, and onboard new hires using Zoho Recruit
Set up performance appraisal cycles and 360-degree feedback in Zoho People
Generate HR reports and dashboards for management decision-making

Weekly Curriculum

Organisation configuration: departments, designations, locations, shifts. Employee profiles, documents, emergency contacts, onboarding workflows. Lab: Set up a sample 20-person Ghanaian company in Zoho People. Assignment: Configure onboarding checklist for a new hire.

Leave policies (annual, sick, maternity — Ghana Labour Act), holiday calendar, attendance tracking. Payroll: earnings, deductions, SSNIT (5.5% employee / 13% employer), PAYE tax bands, net pay. Lab: Process a month's payroll for 5 employees. Quiz: Ghana SSNIT and PAYE rules.

Zoho Recruit: job postings, application pipeline, interview scheduling. Performance: appraisal cycles, goal setting, 360-degree feedback. HR dashboards and reports. Final Project: Complete HR setup for a sample Ghanaian SME + payroll run + recruitment pipeline. Presentation.

Basic computer literacy: email, web browsing, spreadsheets
Some familiarity with HR processes is helpful but not required

Ghana Labour Law Coverage

Payroll is taught using Ghana Labour Act provisions: SSNIT contributions (5.5% employee / 13% employer), PAYE tax bands, annual leave entitlements, maternity leave, and overtime rules.
