What it means for you

The demand is coming. The training for you is not here yet.

When a government and a company the size of Microsoft both talk about AI skills, employers listen. Using Microsoft 365 well, and using an AI assistant alongside it responsibly, is becoming a baseline expectation in offices, banks, schools and ministries.

The programmes announced so far start with trainers and public officials. That is the right order for a national rollout, but it means an individual job seeker or office worker may wait a long time to be reached.

You can build the same skills now, and leave with something to show for it.

What employers will look for

Professional Word, Excel and PowerPoint work
Drafting, summarising and analysing with an AI assistant
Checking AI output before it goes out
Keeping customer and company data out of public AI tools
A certificate they can verify, and work they can see
Where to start

Three routes, depending on where you are today

For office work

Microsoft Office, with AI at work

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at a professional level, plus a section on using AI assistants in Microsoft 365 to draft, analyse and summarise, and on checking what they produce.

Starting from zero

Computing Basics

Computers, files, the internet, email and online safety. The right first step if you are new to computers, before Office or AI tools.

To build software

PHP Application Developer

For those who want to build the systems, not only use them. Build and deploy a database-driven web application you can show an employer.

FAQ

Common questions

No. Pinuno Academy is an independent training provider and is not a Microsoft partner. We are not part of any Government of Ghana or Microsoft programme. We teach Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Microsoft 365 because Ghanaian employers use them every day.

No, it builds on it. Free national programmes are a good first step. Pinuno courses add what they usually cannot: a small cohort, an instructor you can ask, assessed project work and a certificate an employer can verify.

No. The exercises use the free Microsoft 365 web apps and the free Copilot at copilot.microsoft.com. Copilot built into Word and Excel generally comes with a paid Microsoft 365 plan; if your employer provides one, what you learn carries straight over.

Yes. Every Pinuno course issues a certificate with a unique code that anyone can check at pinuno.com.gh/verify-certificate. There is no expiry and no login needed to check it.

Yes. MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money are accepted, and you can choose to pay in two instalments at the payment step.
