Course Overview

Microsoft Office remains the most widely used productivity suite in Ghanaian workplaces, government offices, and businesses. This course trains students to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a professional level — producing polished documents, working spreadsheets, compelling presentations, and managing professional email.

All exercises use real-world Ghanaian scenarios: business letters, payroll spreadsheets, project proposals, and professional email communication.

Course Curriculum

Apply character and paragraph styles, headings, sections, headers/footers, tables, and mail merge in Word.

Work with cells, rows, columns, basic data entry, and workbook navigation in Excel.

Use VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF, and other essential Excel functions for data analysis.

Create professional charts, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to visualise business data.

Build slide decks using slide masters, themes, and effective visual design principles.

Apply animations, transitions, and presenting techniques for confident, professional delivery.

Manage email, calendar invites, tasks, and shared folders in Outlook and Microsoft 365.

Create a complete office documentation set combining Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Final practical exam covering all Microsoft Office applications and a portfolio submission.
